₹15-Crore Development Plan for Bara Shaheed Dargah in Nellore
The Bara Shaheed Dargah in Nellore will be developed at an estimated cost of ₹15 crore over the next two years, with most of the designs already finalised and tenders scheduled to be invited in January. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has sanctioned ₹5 crore for the project, while the remaining amount will be mobilised from other sources, including donations and institutional support.
According to officials, the development plan aims to improve infrastructure and amenities at the historic dargah, benefiting devotees and visitors. The works are expected to enhance accessibility, sanitation, and overall facilities while preserving the heritage character of the site.
In addition to the dargah development, the concerned Board has announced plans to establish an education centre in Nellore. This initiative will be funded through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions. The proposed centre is intended to support educational opportunities for local students, reflecting a broader commitment to community welfare alongside heritage development.
