₹15,000 Crore Deal: Foxconn, CM Stalin Seal Major Investment for Tamil Nadu

Global electronics giant Foxconn has announced a major investment of ₹15,000 crore in Tamil Nadu following a high-level meeting between its leadership and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. The investment will focus on expanding the company’s manufacturing footprint in the state and is expected to generate around 14,000 engineering jobs. As part of the collaboration, a dedicated “Foxconn Desk” will be set up at Guidance Tamil Nadu, the state’s investment promotion agency, to streamline communication and fast-track project approvals. Chief Minister Stalin welcomed the investment, calling it a milestone for Tamil Nadu’s growth in the electronics and semiconductor sectors. The move further strengthens the state’s position as a key hub for electronics manufacturing in India. Foxconn’s expansion aligns with the central government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and is expected to boost local employment, supply chains, and technological advancement in the region.
