Bihar prisoners escape to Nepal after a major security lapse that has once again put the state administration under pressure. Authorities have issued a fresh lookout notice against 254 Bihar prisoners who reportedly fled to Nepal during recent violent protests.

Reacting strongly, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said the government will not spare those responsible. He blamed earlier administrative failures and promised strict action against negligent officers.
Security along the Indo-Nepal border has now been tightened. Intelligence agencies have been asked to monitor movement routes commonly used by fugitives.
Opposition parties attacked the government, calling the episode a serious threat to public safety. They demanded accountability and immediate arrests.
The state government insists that arrests will follow soon as surveillance increases and inter-state coordination improves.
