The first phase of Bihar Elections 2025 will witness 3.75 crore voters deciding the fate of 1,314 candidates across 121 constituencies in 18 districts. The Election Commission has arranged 45,341 polling booths with tight security and full webcasting.
Out of the total voters, over 1.98 crore are men, 1.76 crore are women, and 758 belong to the third gender. Around 7.37 lakh are first-time voters aged 18–19 years. There are 3.22 lakh disabled voters and 1 lakh service voters. The Bihar Elections 2025 also show high youth participation with over 1.96 crore voters aged between 18 and 40 years.
The oldest candidate is 78 years old, while the youngest is just 25. Each seat averages 11 contestants, with Muzaffarpur and Kudhani having the highest (20 each). Nearly 32% candidates face criminal charges, while half are graduates.
Suryagarha is the largest constituency by area, Digha by electorate, and Bankipur the smallest. With 926 women-managed booths and 107 disabled-operated booths, this election aims for inclusivity and transparency.
