RLM MLA rift has surfaced in Bihar politics as three Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) lawmakers met BJP national executive president Nitin Naveen, skipping Upendra Kushwaha’s Litti Chokha party. The move has raised questions about unity within the party.
On Wednesday evening, Upendra Kushwaha hosted a Litti Chokha party at his Patna residence. Media and political figures attended, enjoying the traditional delicacy. However, three RLM MLAs – Madhav Anand, Rameshwar Mahato, and Alok Singh – were absent. Their absence sparked speculation, though no official statement was made by the party.
The political tension increased when Madhav Anand shared photos on Facebook showing the three MLAs in Delhi with Nitin Naveen. The post congratulated Naveen on his new role and highlighted the formal meeting. This unexpected step hints at growing dissatisfaction within RLM, especially amid criticism of Kushwaha for promoting his son Dipak Prakash as minister without elections.
Observers believe this rift could affect party cohesion ahead of upcoming elections. While RLM leadership insists on unity, the public meeting with Naveen shows some members are exploring political alternatives.
