36 injured in road accident near Rajamahendravaram
Thirty-six people, including 32 students, were injured in a road accident near Rajamahendravaram in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday morning. The injured included students and teachers from Government Model High School, Gundlapalli, located in Nalgonda district of Telangana.
The group was travelling in two buses as part of an excursion trip. The accident happened when one of the buses reportedly lost control and hit another vehicle near the outskirts of Rajamahendravaram. Due to the impact, several students suffered minor injuries, while a few teachers were also hurt.
Local people and police rushed to the spot immediately and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals. Doctors said most of the injuries were not serious and all the injured were out of danger.
Police registered a case and started an investigation to find the exact cause of the accident. School authorities informed the parents and assured them that proper care was being taken. The district administration is monitoring the situation closely.
