Residents of Bhai Ram Camp, Masjid Camp, and DID Camp on Race Course Road in New Delhi have been told to leave their homes by March 6. The notice was issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and given to a resident on Thursday. Around 717 families live in these slum areas, which are located close to the Prime Minister’s residence.

The notice says that the land belongs to the government and that the settlements are not authorized. Residents have been asked to vacate the area voluntarily. If they do not leave by the given date, they may face legal action.

Many families living in these camps have stayed there for several years. They are worried about losing their homes and say they need time and support for relocation. Some residents have requested alternative housing before they move out.

The authorities have not yet announced detailed plans for rehabilitation. The situation has created tension and uncertainty among the families living in the area.
