96% of Tamil Nadu Voters Received Enumeration Forms, CEO Confirms
Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik has announced that 96.22% of the state’s electors have been issued enumeration forms as part of the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls. Booth Level Officers distributed the forms to around 6.16 crore voters, she said, aiming to update and verify the voter list ahead of upcoming elections.
According to Patnaik, approximately 50% of the recipients have already returned the filled forms, helping authorities ensure accuracy in the voter rolls. She emphasised that the process is crucial for maintaining the integrity of elections and for preventing discrepancies on polling day.
The CEO also clarified that the deadline for submission is December 4, 2025, and that it will not be extended. Voters who have not yet submitted their forms were urged to do so promptly. Authorities are conducting follow-ups and awareness campaigns to encourage maximum participation and ensure that every eligible voter is correctly registered.
