Union Minister Rajnath Singh has stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will remain the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate for the next 15–20 years . In an interview with India Today, Rajnath asserted that Modi is BJP’s undisputed choice not only for the 2029 elections but also for 2039 .
Rajnath praised Modi’s ability to connect with the public, resolve complex issues, and act decisively during crises. He cited Modi’s handling of the Pahalgam incident as an example of his leadership capabilities and crisis management skills.
The minister emphasized that the party sees no internal competition for the PM post for the foreseeable future, reflecting confidence in Modi’s vision and governance. According to Rajnath, Modi’s consistent performance and public engagement have solidified his position as the BJP’s enduring leader, providing stability and continuity to the party’s political strategy over the next two decades.
