Indian-origin US citizen Rupinder Kaur Pandher, also called ‘Rupy’, had a past case at the NRI police station, making her a proclaimed offender. Authorities had issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) for her arrest. Despite warnings, she traveled to India and stayed at Kilaraipur.
Her sister, Kamaldeep Kaur Khairah, said the police failed to recover Rupinder Kaur’s jewellery, documents, and valuables. Khairah plans to visit Punjab and stay until the police arrest all accomplices of Charanjit Singh Grewal and recover fake documents.
Khairah also shared an FIR against Sukhjeet Singh Sonu under Section 420 for duping a real estate dealer. This contradicts claims that Sukhjeet had no criminal record. Rupinder Kaur had previously visited India to manage her father’s properties in Ludhiana and Khanna.
Khairah believes the suspects tricked Rupinder Kaur into Kilaraipur to harm her. She is the only sibling able to pursue the case, as others are ill or deceased.
Meanwhile, Grewal denied any involvement on social media. Police continue investigating Sukhjeet during his extended remand and aim to recover all valuables tied to the case.
