In a major crackdown, authorities conducted a *Hydra operation* in Gajularamaram, freeing over *300 acres of government land* valued at approximately ₹15,000 crore from illegal occupation. The recovered land was originally allocated to the *State Finance Corporation*.
During the operation, encroachments set up under the names of influential individuals and some unauthorized sheds by marginalized residents were demolished under heavy police security. The operation aimed to restore government property and prevent further illegal settlements.
