Charanjit Ahuja Dies at 74; Punjabi Music Mourns

The Punjabi music industry is in mourning following the death of Charanjit Ahuja, the legendary composer who left an indelible mark on Punjabi folk and film music. He passed away on Sunday evening, September 22, 2025, at his home in Mohali. Ahuja was 74 years old and had been fighting throat cancer for several years. Despite undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh, his health worsened, leading to his untimely demise.
