The central government is interested in Andhra Pradesh’s WhatsApp governance model, delivering 738 e‑governance services through WhatsApp.
V Srinivas, Secretary of Administrative Reforms, highlighted the AP model at the 28th National Conference on E‑Governance 2025 in Visakhapatnam. The theme is “Viksit Bharat: Civil Service and Digital Transformation.”
The AP model, Mana Mitra, simplifies access to government services like certificates, grievance redressal, and welfare schemes with built‑in security.
The Visakhapatnam Declaration will document this model for replication by other states and union territories. The two‑day conference is co‑organized by DARPG, the Ministry of Electronics & IT, and the AP government, covering topics like cybersecurity, AI, and agriculture tech.
Delegates from across India aim to showcase best practices in digital service delivery. AP’s WhatsApp governance is becoming a benchmark in accessible public administration.
