The victim, Shalini, 39, worked as a private school teacher and was a resident of Valacode. Police confirmed that marital disputes and suspicion led to the attack. The accused, Isaac, 42, attacked Shalini with a sharp weapon around 6 a.m. Neighbors reported hearing screams, and by the time help arrived, Shalini had collapsed from severe injuries. Soon after, Isaac recorded a Facebook Live video where he openly confessed to the murder and described his reasons. In the video, he admitted that frequent quarrels and doubts about his wife’s character pushed him to commit the act. The Kerala man confessed to his wife’s murder in front of shocked viewers before later surrendering to the police.

Police rushed to the scene after receiving calls from locals. Officers took the body for postmortem and began a detailed investigation. Isaac was taken into custody and questioned about the crime. Officials confirmed that he acted alone and there was no external involvement.

The murder has sparked outrage in Kerala, with many expressing shock at the use of social media to broadcast such a violent confession.
