The highly anticipated Volvo EX30 India launch has created a big buzz in the country’s premium electric car market. Volvo Cars India has officially revealed the EX30 with a starting price of Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom), while offering an exclusive pre-booking price of Rs 39.99 lakh for early customers. Pre-reservations for the Volvo EX30 are now open both online and at Volvo dealerships across major Indian cities.
The Volvo EX30 India launch marks the brand’s entry into the compact luxury EV segment, giving buyers a stylish yet practical electric SUV option. Positioned below the XC40 Recharge, the EX30 combines Volvo’s Scandinavian design language with a sustainable and tech-forward approach. Built on a dedicated electric platform, the EX30 promises an impressive range of over 400 km on a single charge. With fast-charging support, the battery can be replenished from 10 to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes, making it ideal for city commuting and long weekend drives.
Inside, the Volvo EX30 features a minimalist cabin that reflects the brand’s eco-friendly philosophy. The dashboard hosts a large vertically oriented touchscreen running the latest Google-based infotainment system, while recycled materials have been used extensively throughout the interior. Advanced safety features, including Volvo’s signature driver-assistance technology, ensure a secure and comfortable ride.
At the Volvo EX30 India launch, Volvo Car India MD Jyoti Malhotra said the SUV will appeal to urban buyers looking for luxury, performance, and sustainability in one package. Deliveries of the EX30 are expected to begin in early 2026, with full variant details and color options to be revealed closer to the delivery timeline.
With its competitive pricing, long-range capabilities, and premium features, the Volvo EX30 is set to challenge rivals like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and BMW iX1 in the growing Indian electric vehicle market.
