Bihar Politics: Congress Calls It a Second Battle of Independence

Bihar Assembly Elections second battle of independence

The Bihar Assembly Elections are heating up, and Congress has launched a big campaign. Party leaders say this election is like a “second battle of independence.” At a press conference, Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru said Bihar is now the center of national politics. He added that Congress and the INDIA alliance are ready to fight for the rights of the people of Bihar and India.

For the first time in 84 years, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting will be held in Bihar. The last one was in 1940. This year, it will take place on September 24 at Patna’s historic Sadakat Ashram, where leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Rajendra Prasad once gathered.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and other senior leaders will attend. The party says the CWC will discuss key issues such as unemployment, inflation, rising crime, and women’s safety.

Congress leaders compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to students who cheat in exams, accusing them of “stealing votes.” The party is trying to project Bihar Assembly Elections as not just about Bihar, but about the future of the entire country.
