Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stated that continuing talks with the United States under threats to halt nuclear programs is pointless. He emphasized that Iran is one of the ten countries in the world with significant uranium reserves, while the other nine countries already possess nuclear weapons.
Khamenei clarified that Iran does not have nuclear bombs and has no intention of using atomic weapons. He stressed that the country’s uranium enrichment process will continue, asserting Iran’s right to pursue peaceful nuclear energy and technological development.
His remarks come amid international pressure on Iran to suspend its nuclear activities. By highlighting the distinction between uranium reserves and actual nuclear weapons, Khamenei underlined Iran’s position that its nuclear program is defensive and civilian in nature, and not aimed at military escalation.
