Akhtarul Iman wrote to Tejashwi Yadav for alliance

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi claimed that Akhtarul Iman, leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen ally party, had written to Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav seeking an alliance. Owaisi made this statement while addressing a rally in Kishanganj, Bihar, on September 24, 2025. Akhtarul Iman wrote to Tejashwi Yadav for alliance, said Owaisi, highlighting political shifts in Bihar ahead of the upcoming elections.

Owaisi reiterated that such developments reflect changing political strategies in the State. He accused opposition parties of attempting to sideline smaller groups like AIMIM. The AIMIM chief said his party will continue to work for the rights of minorities and stressed that political alliances should be built on common principles, not opportunism.

Speaking to supporters, Owaisi expressed confidence in AIMIM’s ability to strengthen its presence in Bihar. He said Akhtarul Iman’s outreach to Tejashwi Yadav showed the fluid nature of alliances. Owaisi insisted that AIMIM will not compromise on its core issues and will contest to give a voice to underrepresented communities.

This statement adds a new dimension to Bihar’s political discourse. Political analysts say it could influence alliance equations in the State.
