The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has extended the registration deadline for GATE 2026, giving engineering aspirants more time to apply. Candidates can now submit their applications without paying a late fee until September 28, 2025, instead of the earlier deadline of September 25.
For those missing the regular registration window, the extended period with a late fee has also been pushed back. Applicants can now register until October 9, 2025, providing extra flexibility to avoid last-minute issues. All applications must be submitted online via the official portal: gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
GATE 2026 Exam Dates
The exam will be conducted in two shifts on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The forenoon session will run from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the afternoon session is scheduled from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Results are expected on March 19, 2026.
