AP: Minister Payyavula Keshav has strongly criticized the YCP government, accusing it of treating government employees unfairly. He alleged that the government misused employees’ GPF (General Provident Fund) savings and reduced their fitment citing the impact of COVID-19. The minister expressed concerns that employees were penalized despite contributing their savings for welfare and retirement benefits.
Regarding the PRC (Pay Revision Commission) appointments, Keshav stated that the Chief Minister would take appropriate decisions at the right time. He also addressed questions about PRC restructuring and pending arrears payments during a mandal-level Q&A session, promising timely action.
Keshav emphasized that the government should prioritize employee welfare, maintain transparency in fund usage, and ensure that COVID-related adjustments do not unjustly affect employees’ financial benefits. His comments underline growing employee dissatisfaction over fitment reductions and arrears delays under the current administration.
