Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has expressed serious concern over the frequent absence of MLAs during crucial Assembly sessions. During a recent meeting, it was noted that only 30 MLAs were present at the start of the session, which the CM considered highly inadequate for important discussions and decision-making.
Chandrababu criticized the absentee MLAs for being negligent during key debates, emphasizing that the full strength of the House is essential to maintain the democratic process. He directed appropriate authorities to ensure that members are present for all critical discussions.
Following the CM’s instructions, the Chief Whip Anjaneyulu took immediate action and summoned 17 MLAs who were absent at that time. The move signals a strict approach by the CM to maintain discipline and accountability among legislators, aiming to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Assembly proceedings.
