Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda, critically injured in a road accident, is showing slight improvement but remains unconscious. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shared the update after visiting Rajvir at Fortis Hospital in Mohali, saying the singer’s condition is “better than yesterday” though he continues to receive intensive care.
The CM said Rajvir was admitted in a serious state, with his heart and other organs struggling to function. “Recovery from head injuries is slow,” he added, noting that doctors are consulting other experts to support his treatment. When Rajvir arrived at the hospital on Saturday, he was too unstable even for an MRI.
Fans and fellow artists have rallied in support. Singer Diljit Dosanjh, who recently performed in Hong Kong, described Rajvir as a “sweet and nice brother” and urged fans to pray for his recovery. “He has never been involved in controversies, and he loves everyone. Please keep him in your prayers,” Diljit said.
Other Punjabi artists, including Kanwar Singh Grewal and Amrit Maan, appealed to fans to stop spreading false news. Grewal shared a video from the hospital, highlighting the doctors’ care and criticizing posts claiming Rajvir had died. Amrit Maan echoed the message on Instagram, asking followers to focus on positive support rather than rumors.
According to Fortis Hospital, Rajvir’s accident occurred on Saturday, September 27, leaving him with severe head and spine injuries. He was initially treated at Civil Hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest before being transferred to Fortis. A team of neurosurgeons and critical care specialists continues to monitor him closely.
