India Women Beat Pakistan: ‘Operation Sindoor’ Continues in World Cup Clash

India women cricket team celebrates victory over Pakistan in ICC Women’s World Cup match

In a high-voltage ICC Women’s World Cup clash, India women defeated Pakistan by 88 runs, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrating the win by declaring that “‘Operation Sindoor’ continues.” Kranti Goud and Deepti Sharma were the stars for India, each claiming three wickets to help secure a dominant victory.

“13-0! India’s perfect record against Pakistan at ODI World Cups continues. #OperationSindoor continues. India wins. Now and always,” the BJP posted on X. Home Minister Amit Shah also hailed the team’s performance, calling it a “perfect strike” and praising India’s Women’s Cricket team for their “dominating display” in the match.

Tensions ran high even before the game began, as both captains skipped the customary handshake at the toss and barely acknowledged each other during the match. This follows a similar scenario in the recent men’s Asia Cup, where India and Pakistan captains avoided handshakes in all encounters.

The game took a dramatic turn during Pakistan’s innings after opener Muneeba Ali’s controversial dismissal. Facing Kranti Goud, Muneeba initially survived an LBW appeal when the ball struck her pad. However, stepping out of her crease, a throw from the field hit the stumps. Although her bat had been grounded earlier, it was airborne when the stumps were struck, leading to her dismissal confirmed by the big screen.

India’s win not only extended their flawless record against Pakistan in World Cups but also highlighted the skill and composure of the Indian women’s cricket team under pressure. Fans and political leaders alike celebrated the victory, marking it as another memorable chapter in the storied India-Pakistan cricket rivalry.
