Singareni Collieries has announced plans to establish petrol stations on its vacant lands to utilize unused space and prevent encroachments. To implement this, the company has signed agreements with major oil companies, including IOCL, HPCL, and BPCL. Under this initiative, Singareni will lease the vacant land for the construction of fuel pumps, ensuring proper maintenance and commercial use of the property.
A total of seven petrol stations are proposed in strategic locations across Telangana, including Khammam district’s Manuguru and Kothagudem Sunday Market, Mancherial district’s Mandamarri, Bellampalli, and Peddapalli district’s Ramagundam. This initiative aims to enhance fuel accessibility in these areas while generating revenue from company land that has remained idle.
The move is also expected to create local employment opportunities and contribute to regional economic development. Residents and commuters in these districts will benefit from improved fuel availability and convenience.
