The speculation started after her meeting with senior BJP leaders Vinod Tawde and Nityanand Rai. Tawde’s post on social media praised her as the “daughter of Bihar” and encouraged her to serve the people of the state.
Maithili Thakur, 25, belongs to Benipatti in Madhubani district. She gained fame after appearing on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs in 2011 and has since become known for her bhajans and folk songs. She also served as the Election Commission’s brand ambassador during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
If the Maithili Thakur BJP Bihar elections rumor turns true, the party must decide which seat she might contest—possibly Benipatti, currently represented by BJP’s Vinod Narayan Jha.
