In Hyderabad, BRS MLAs staged a unique protest against the recent increase in RTC bus ticket fares by traveling on buses themselves to directly engage with commuters.
Leaders Sudheer Reddy, Kaleru Venkatesh, and Mutha Gopal boarded buses to understand the concerns and grievances of ordinary passengers affected by the fare hike. During the protest journey, the MLAs interacted with citizens, listening to their hardships and highlighting the impact of additional financial burden on daily commuters. They criticized the government for raising fares under the pretext of fuel cost adjustments, alleging that the measure unfairly pressures the common man.
By experiencing the public transport system firsthand, the MLAs aimed to emphasize the need for affordable transportation and urged authorities to reconsider the decision. The protest drew widespread attention, reinforcing BRS’s commitment to standing with citizens and voicing their concerns in public forums.
