Hyderabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is yet to decide on its candidate for the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election, and speculation is growing within the party circles.
Several leaders have expressed interest in contesting, including Deepak Reddy , Veerapaneni Padma , Keerthi Reddy , Madhavi Latha , Akula Vijaya , and Atluri Ramakrishna . According to party sources, the Telangana BJP state committee is likely to shortlist three names and forward them to the national leadership for final approval.
The selection process is expected to conclude soon, with the party leadership likely to hold another meeting on October 10 to finalize the candidate. The Jubilee Hills by-election is seen as a crucial contest for the BJP as it seeks to strengthen its urban base in Hyderabad and position itself as a key challenger to both the Congress and BRS in Telangana’s political landscape.
