The Telangana Rajyadhikara Party (TRP), led by Teenmaar Mallanna, has called for a statewide bandh today to protest the High Court’s stay on BC (Backward Class) reservations. Mallanna accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of deceiving the BC community by issuing a weak G.O. No. 9, which he claimed failed to protect their constitutional rights. He demanded that the Chief Minister resign immediately, taking moral responsibility for the setback.
Meanwhile, MP R. Krishnayya also criticized the government’s handling of the issue, stating that they would observe the Chief Minister’s reaction to women’s concerns before finalizing their stance on the bandh.
The TRP’s call for protest reflects growing discontent among BC organizations and opposition parties, who argue that the government has failed to uphold social justice and reservation rights promised to backward communities in Telangana.
