Lalu Prasad Yadav filed his nomination on the very first day of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 from the Madhaura constituency in Saran district. Representing the Jan Sambhavna Party, he marked his 17th electoral attempt in 25 years. Known for his persistence, Lalu Yadav of Madhaura has previously contested local, assembly, Lok Sabha, and even presidential elections.
He filed his nomination on Friday as one of three candidates to do so on the first day of nominations across the state. His unique name — similar to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav — often brings him into public attention. Yadav, who works as a tayadi in Madhaura subdivision court, says he will keep contesting until victory comes his way.
Alongside him, Virendra Kumar from Kanti (Muzaffarpur) and Manish Kumar Singh from Paru (Muzaffarpur) also submitted their nominations. The first phase of nominations will continue till October 17.
