Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM has begun its campaign for the AIMIM Bihar Elections 2025 with a bold step. The party released its first list of 32 candidates across 16 districts. State president Akhtarul Iman said AIMIM will contest a larger number of seats this time to expand its base beyond Seemanchal.
The list includes seats from Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Araria, Gaya, Motihari, and Bhagalpur. AIMIM hopes to strengthen its influence in Mithila, Magadh, and Shahabad regions too. In 2020, the party won five of the 20 seats it contested as part of Upendra Kushwaha’s Third Front.
Now, AIMIM plans to build a new Third Front with smaller regional parties. Akhtarul Iman said talks are in progress and an official announcement will follow soon. With this move, Owaisi aims to give Bihar’s minorities a stronger voice and play a key role in the upcoming polls.
