Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party, Janata Dal (United), has finalized its candidates for the Bihar Assembly polls. The JDU candidate list Bihar elections 2025 includes around 103 seats that the party will contest under the NDA alliance. According to senior leaders, six sitting MLAs will lose their tickets due to poor performance or public dissatisfaction.
The seats expected to change are in Bhagalpur, Nawada, and Banka districts. The decision, leaders said, was based on feedback from the public and party workers. New faces will replace the outgoing MLAs, and some seats like Parbatta and Rupauli will also see new candidates after their former representatives joined opposition parties.
Seat-sharing talks within the NDA are ongoing. The BJP is likely to contest 102 seats, while allies like HAM and RLM are demanding a fair share. A final announcement on the JDU candidate list Bihar elections 2025 and NDA’s seat distribution is expected soon.
