Puneri Paltan beats Tamil Thalaivas 36-23 to secure top-eight spot in Season 12 of the league.

Puneri Paltan became the second team to secure a top-eight berth in Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League after defeating Tamil Thalaivas 36-23 at Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium on Saturday. Raiders Pankaj Mohite and Aslam Inamdar scored nine and seven points respectively, while Gurdeep’s High Five strengthened the defence.

Head coach Ajay Thakur praised the team’s discipline and collective effort. “Every player, from Vishal to Gaurav Khatri, contributed to our rhythm and control. This performance gives us confidence for future matches,” he said. Thakur also highlighted Aslam Inamdar’s leadership, noting his composure and ability to guide players effectively.

Inamdar credited the coaching staff for building trust and accountability. “Our coach lets us make the right calls on the mat, which boosts our confidence and performance,” he said. Puneri Paltan now focus on their next crucial clash against Dabang Delhi, described by Thakur as a strong and well-balanced team.

Other key matchups include Bengal Warriorz versus Bengaluru Bulls. Bengal will rely on Devank for raiding, while Bulls look to Alireza Mirzaian and Yogesh’s defensive efforts. Both matches promise high-energy contests, with tactical gameplay and close scores expected throughout.
