YSRCP Slams Govt, Seeks ₹1 Crore Aid for Turakapalem Victims
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has demanded ₹1 crore compensation for each of the victims of the Turakapalem tragedy in Andhra Pradesh, calling the current relief package “grossly inadequate.” Party leaders allege that while 45 deaths have been reported, the state government has provided ₹5 lakh compensation to only 29 families so far.
Describing the tragedy as a severe humanitarian crisis, YSRCP leaders criticized the government’s response as insensitive and insufficient, urging immediate action to support all affected families. They also called for transparency in the compensation process and assistance in rebuilding lives.
The party has vowed to raise the issue in the state assembly and mobilize public support until justice is delivered. As pressure mounts, victims’ families continue to wait for adequate relief and acknowledgment of their loss.
