Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo recently recalled saving his friend Woody Harrelson from a bar fight while shooting the heist thriller Now You See Me in New Orleans. The incident occurred during a street scene amid the Mardi Gras crowd.
Ruffalo explained that a woman approached Harrelson during filming, and another man shoved Woody aside. Woody’s instinctive reaction was to punch the man, which could have escalated the situation.
Recognizing the danger, Ruffalo intervened to prevent a larger fight. “I grabbed him and pulled him out,” he said. Ruffalo explained that while they could handle themselves, others involved might have made things worse.
Ted Danson, Ruffalo’s former Cheers co-star, praised his quick action. Danson admitted that in such a situation, he would have hesitated and called for help instead of intervening immediately, highlighting Ruffalo’s bravery and presence of mind.
