Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has called upon people from all walks of life to actively participate in the statewide bandh being organized in support of increased BC reservations. He accused the BRS government of previously limiting reservations to 50%, thereby reducing the share of Backward Classes.
Bhatti emphasized that the current Congress government had scientifically determined 42% BC reservations based on a comprehensive survey and had passed the bill before sending it to the Central Government, which has yet to approve it. He said the delay by the Centre has resulted in the matter getting stuck in court proceedings.
Lashing out at the BJP, Bhatti said the party’s true colors are now exposed, and despite their attempts to mislead the public, people will no longer be deceived.
