Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria said the Punjab corruption case involving DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar is a strong warning. He said corruption in top offices shows failure in the system. Kataria added that the Rs 7 crore found at Bhullar’s home was not collected in a single day.
He noted that such actions show how weak the administration has become. The Governor said the Punjab corruption case exposes serious gaps in checks and control.
Kataria also said the CBI’s arrest of a senior officer should push officials to act against corruption. He added that this step will help people regain trust in the system. The Governor urged state officers to stay alert and stop such wrongs early.
