BJP Urges YSRCP Not to Oppose Google’s Investment in Vizag
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has urged the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) not to oppose Google’s proposed investment in Visakhapatnam (Vizag). BJP State spokesperson highlighted that the project is expected to create around 1.8 lakh direct and indirect jobs, which would significantly boost the local economy.
The investment aims to develop Vizag into a global hub for artificial intelligence (AI) innovation, bringing technological advancement and new opportunities to the region. The spokesperson stressed that such development projects are crucial for Andhra Pradesh’s growth and urged the ruling party to support rather than resist these initiatives.
The BJP called for a collaborative approach between political parties to ensure the success of this major project, emphasizing the long-term benefits for employment and infrastructure. The proposed Google data centre is seen as a game-changer for the state’s industrial and technological landscape.
