Rajnath Singh: Modern Crime Is Complex, Organised, and Aims to Destabilise Society
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said that crime in today’s world has become more organised, invisible, and technologically complex, with the intent of creating chaos and destabilising society. Speaking at an event in New Delhi, Singh stressed the evolving nature of threats faced by the country, including cybercrime and organised networks that operate across borders.
He commended India’s police and security forces for their tireless efforts in adapting to these new challenges, particularly in the fight against Left Wing Extremism. Singh noted a significant reduction in the number of districts affected by Naxalism, calling it a major achievement for internal security.
The Minister emphasised the need for continuous training, inter-agency coordination, and investment in technology to counter emerging threats. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring national security and protecting citizens from both traditional and modern forms of crime.
