BRS leaders KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao paid rich tributes to tribal freedom fighter Kumram Bheem on his birth anniversary. They remembered his inspiring slogan “Jal, Jangal, Zameen” that symbolized the fight for the rights of tribal people.
Rama Rao described Bheem as a courageous tribal leader who stood against injustice and inspired generations. He said the BRS government under K Chandrashekhar Rao followed Bheem’s vision by expanding ST welfare schools and launching the CMSTEI scheme to support tribal youth. The Ambedkar Overseas Scholarship, he noted, helped many students pursue higher education abroad.
Asifabad district now bears Bheem’s name, and the Jodeghat Memorial stands as a tribute to his sacrifice. A tribal community center in Hyderabad further highlights the government’s respect for tribal culture and pride.
Harish Rao praised Bheem’s revolutionary spirit, saying his ideals continue to guide future generations. The Kumram Bheem Memorial Building in Hyderabad, he added, represents the enduring legacy of his struggle and courage.
