Chirag Paswan’s LJP-R is facing strong challenges in the 2025 Bihar elections. Rebels from Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM are contesting as independents. This move has shaken the NDA’s seat-sharing balance.
HAM leader Nandlal Manjhi filed his nomination from Bodh Gaya. He was upset that the seat was given to LJP-R’s Shyamdev Paswan. He said he would fight for the people and that the public is now his real party.
In Begusarai, JD(U) rebel Amar Kumar Singh filed as an independent from Sahebpur Kamal. He was angry that his seat went to Chirag Paswan’s LJP-R. He said he respects Nitish Kumar but disagrees with the decision.
These moves may split NDA votes and weaken Chirag Paswan’s LJP-R on key seats. Bihar’s political fight is turning more unpredictable with every passing day.
