INDIA Bloc Declares Tejashwi Yadav as Chief Ministerial Candidate for Bihar
The INDIA bloc on Thursday officially declared Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav as its Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. The announcement was made at a joint press conference attended by senior alliance leaders. Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani was named as one of the Deputy Chief Ministerial candidates, while Congress leader Ashok Gehlot said that another Deputy CM face would be announced later. The decision marks a significant show of unity among opposition parties as they seek to challenge the ruling NDA in Bihar. Leaders of the bloc described Tejashwi’s selection as a move to project young and dynamic leadership rooted in Bihar’s political legacy. Addressing the gathering, Tejashwi vowed to prioritize employment, education, and social justice, promising a “new era of development” if the alliance comes to power in the State.
