Pawan Kalyan Sanctions ₹6 Crore for Road to Vadapalli Venkateswara Temple

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has sanctioned ₹6 crore for improving road connectivity to the historic Vadapalli Venkateswara Temple in Konaseema district. The proposed seven-kilometre stretch will be developed along the scenic banks of the river Godavari, enhancing access for devotees and tourists.
Officials said the project aims to boost religious tourism and local infrastructure, with the Public Works Department tasked with executing the road construction. The new road is expected to ease travel difficulties for pilgrims, particularly during festival seasons when thousands visit the temple.
Pawan Kalyan, who also holds the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development portfolio, emphasized that improved connectivity to spiritual sites can foster both cultural preservation and regional economic growth. Local residents and temple authorities have welcomed the decision, calling it a long-pending demand that will significantly improve transportation, tourism potential, and community development in and around Vadapalli.
