Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at a rally in Begusarai, Bihar, raised the issue of former Congress President Sitaram Kesri’s insult, calling it a dark chapter in Congress history. He said the Congress family had locked Sitaram Kesri in the bathroom of his home and removed him from his post. Modi said the country would never forget how the Congress leadership humiliated a Dalit leader from Bihar.
On Kesri’s death anniversary, Modi remembered him as the pride of Bihar and highlighted how the Congress allegedly deprived Dalits and backward classes of their rights. He accused the Gandhi family of prioritizing power over respect. Modi also spoke about women’s empowerment, saying that during the Jungle Raj, women suffered, but under the NDA, Bihari sisters are now self-reliant through schemes like Jeevika Didi.
