An 18-year-old Indian student, Vaishnav Krishnakumar, died of cardiac arrest during Diwali celebrations in Dubai. He collapsed suddenly while celebrating and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors tried to save him, but he passed away.
Dubai police confirmed the cause of death as cardiac arrest. The Forensic Department is investigating the incident. Authorities are arranging to send Vaishnav’s body to Kerala for the last rites.
Vaishnav grew up in Dubai with his parents, VG Krishnakumar and Vidhu Krishnakumar, and his younger sister, Vrishti. The family hails from Chennithala, Alappuzha, and visits India rarely. Relatives describe Vaishnav as smart, kind, and full of potential.
He studied at GEMS Our Own Indian School before joining Middlesex University Dubai for a BBA in Marketing. Vaishnav received the UAE Golden Visa for his achievements. He actively participated in Model United Nations (MUN) as President and Vice President, winning awards for Best Delegate and Best Chair.
Recently, he interned at Kendal and Uniplus in Dubai. Friends and family remember him as ambitious and hardworking, with a bright future ahead.
