Bihar Election LIVE: Modi, Shah Reaffirm NDA’s Unity Under Nitish Kumar’s Leadership
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday reaffirmed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly election under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership. Addressing rallies in the State, Mr. Modi launched a sharp attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), saying that “law and order cannot exist when the RJD is in power.” He accused the party of turning extortion, murder, ransom, and kidnapping into an “industry” during its previous rule, adding that “RJD’s jungle raj has ruined generations in Bihar.” Amit Shah echoed the Prime Minister’s remarks, emphasizing that the NDA remains united and committed to Bihar’s development. Meanwhile, the RJD dismissed the statements as an attempt to divert attention from the NDA government’s failures on unemployment and inflation. Campaigning across Bihar has intensified as political parties finalize their candidate lists.
