JDU Defends ₹10,000 Women Aid Scheme Amid Loan Rumours

Bihar JDU ₹10,000 women scheme

The Bihar JDU ₹10,000 women scheme has become a hot topic during the Bihar Assembly Elections. JDU Working President Sanjay Jha clarified that the ₹10,000 amount given to women under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s employment program is not a loan. He said the opposition is spreading false claims that this aid must be repaid.

According to Jha, around 27.2 million families in Bihar will benefit from the scheme. One woman from each family will receive ₹10,000 directly for employment and empowerment. So far, 14.1 million women have already received the funds. The remaining will get them soon. He added that the aid is free financial support, not recoverable later.

Jha also stated that as women’s employment grows, the government plans to extend ₹2 lakh financial support in the next phase. He credited Nitish Kumar for improving Bihar’s image nationally and internationally during his 20 years as Chief Minister.

The Bihar JDU ₹10,000 women scheme highlights the government’s focus on empowering women through financial independence and development.
