A shocking Bihar double murder has rocked Ara just days before the state elections. In Udwantnagar, fearless criminals shot dead a father and son late Thursday night. The victims were identified as 45-year-old Pramod Kumar and his 22-year-old son Priyanshu Kumar from Kasap village. Pramod, a mason who also ran a sweet shop in Pianiya, was reportedly attending an engagement ceremony when tragedy struck.
According to local reports, Pramod received a late-night call and left home with his son on a bike. Their bullet-riddled bodies were later found dumped by the roadside, with wounds on the head and body. The gruesome incident occurred even as police claimed to have tightened election security in the region.
This Bihar double murder follows another killing of Dularchand Yadav, a close associate of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Nitish Kumar, and Anant Singh, who was gunned down in Mokama while campaigning for Jan Suraj candidate Piyush Priyadarshi. The fresh attack has sparked panic and anger among residents. With the first phase of Bihar Assembly polls due on November 6, the shocking double killing raises serious concerns about law and order during the election season.
