Kejriwal Says BJP a ‘Burden’ on Gujarat, Pushes AAP as Alternative
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that the party has become a “burden on the soil of Gujarat.” Speaking at a public rally in Surendranagar, Kejriwal criticized the state government’s handling of development, unemployment, and public welfare, alleging that decades of BJP rule have failed to address the basic needs of citizens. He urged the people of Gujarat to consider alternatives in the upcoming elections, highlighting AAP’s focus on education, healthcare, and transparent governance. Kejriwal also emphasized the need for grassroots-level participation in decision-making and pledged to implement citizen-friendly policies if given a chance to govern the state. His remarks are seen as part of AAP’s growing campaign to expand its presence in Gujarat, traditionally a BJP stronghold, by positioning itself as a credible alternative for development and governance.
