Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, currently on a visit to London, met with key dignitaries to strengthen international collaborations. During his tour, he held discussions with India’s High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami, focusing on enhancing educational and technological cooperation between Andhra Pradesh and the United Kingdom.
Both leaders discussed potential partnerships between top UK universities and Andhra Pradesh institutions. Plans include setting up university centers in AP and launching joint ventures with central government support. Naidu highlighted that such collaborations would provide global exposure for students and benefit India’s education ecosystem.
Discussions also covered mutual cooperation in fields such as life sciences, bio-genetics, mineral extraction, and metal research. Both sides emphasized that these areas could boost research, innovation, and industrial development in Andhra Pradesh.
Chandrababu Naidu and Vikram Doraiswami exchanged views on expanding cooperation in emerging sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, semiconductors, space technology, core engineering, and Marine Industry 4.0. The Chief Minister expressed optimism that these collaborations would accelerate Andhra Pradesh’s technological and economic growth.
