Toronto Racist Attack: Drunk Man Assaults Indian at McDonald’s

Toronto Racist Attack

A shocking video from Toronto has triggered outrage over growing racism in Canada. The viral clip shows a drunk white man attacking an Indian-origin customer inside a McDonald’s.

The attacker, wearing a Toronto Blue Jays jacket, walked toward the victim near the Mobile Order Pick Up counter and shoved him. The Indian man’s phone flew out of his hand. When he bent to pick it up, the drunk man grabbed his collar and shouted that he was “acting superior.”

The victim stayed calm and tried to avoid conflict. A staff member quickly stepped in and told them to move the fight outside. The attacker kept shouting before security escorted him out.

The incident took place on November 1. Police have not issued any statement yet, and the identities of both men are still unknown. NDTV stated that it could not verify the video’s authenticity.

This comes soon after the October 19 attack on Canadian-Indian businessman Arvi Singh Sagoo in Edmonton. A stranger punched Sagoo after an argument, and he later died from his injuries. The two incidents have raised fresh concerns about rising racism and hate crimes in Canada.
